A decorated veteran, published author, and defense and aerospace executive, State Senator Frank Antenori was first elected to the Arizona Legislature in 2008. He presently serves as the Majority Whip in the Arizona State Senate. He announced his candidacy for United States Congress on January 27, 2012.

Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords has announced her intention to resign from the US House of Representatives during this week so that she can focus her full attention on her rehabilitation.

Her recovery to date has been nothing short of miraculous and I know that her courage, determination, and sheer will mandate that she will get better. Along with all Arizonans, I wish her Godspeed in her recovery and I will continue to keep her in my prayers.

In light of this recent announcement, I have been asked about the status of my Congressional Exploratory Committee. I will not make any announcement until Gabby has had the opportunity to complete the remaining things that she wishes to accomplish as a United States Representative this week.

At this time, the focus of attention in Southern Arizona needs to be honoring the Congresswoman’s service and the sacrifice she has made in service of her fellow Arizonans.

Tucson, AZ, On August 22, 2011: State Senator Antenori will be making an announcement at the Tucson Republican Women’s Luncheon held at the Viscount Suites, 4855 E Broadway in the Rosario Room, at 11:00 AM. He will be formally announcing the formation of a congressional exploratory team and the subsequent raising of exploratory funds; looking to Congress in 2012.

The state of congressional districts is currently very fluid, as the Arizona Redistricting Commission has not completed its work. Yet Senator Antenori has received very serious encouragement from key party leaders, to run. He will be testing the state of the congressional district or whatever the district turns out to be and explore a congressional run.

Leadership is needed from southern Arizona in Washington, D.C. and this next election will likely be the most important election for our nation since the Civil War. Our great country is in serious trouble, due to a mixture of mistakes from both parties, but now one party will not cut spending, and is more concerned about the climate, stifling regulation, and Obama-care than fostering JOBS.

We desperately need fiscal responsibility, limited government, preservation of individual freedom, and a resolve to BUILD A BETTER AMERICA. Frank Antenori has a proven legislative record of fiscal responsibility, government transparency, and smaller government.
